European Fulbright Alumni Workshop

in the summer of 1998 about 30 representatives of Fulbright Alumni Associations from 11 European countries met in Strasbourg in order to discuss possibilities of future cooperation.
On this page we publish the main results, hoping to stimulate interest even beyond the borders of the participating nations.

The meeting consisted basically of three workshops and two plenum dissucssions.
A main emphasis, discussed in workshop one, was to establish an infrastructure for efficient communication between the different associations. Workshop two dealt with medium term projects and workshop three  with long range visions.

A very nice outcome of the meeting is the anouncement of our Spanish colleagues to create an email based European wide discussion forum  as well as to host a follow up meeting in Toledo. Thank you very much for these initiatives.

I think I can say for all of us who have participated that it was a great pleasure to get to know each other. I hope we'll all meet again in Toledo.
